This Valentines Day, Dance as a form of prayer and energy surge with ONE BILLION people around the planet.

One Billion Rising, is an activism organization powering the mission of sovereignty for women & girls bodies’ and planet earth. 

Yearly on Valentines Day, we at One Billion Rising, hold dance activations across the planet and count in one billion people who participate in this potent day of activism. 

We’ve surpassed One Billion people in over 200 countries and hundred of cities across the planet. 

Will you be part of the count and cause this year!?

What better way to celebrate the day of love than to drink cacao, dance, and radiate love toward the reverence of women and our planet!? Let’s dance for the world we DO want to see and stand for.

Why one billion? 

1 in 3 women across the planet will be beaten or raped during her lifetime. That’s ONE BILLION WOMEN AND GIRLS. Every February, we rise – in countries across the world – to show our local communities and the world what one billion looks like and shine a light on the rampant impunity and injustice that survivors most often face. We rise through dance to express joy and community and celebrate the fact that we have not been defeated by this violence. We rise to show we are determined to create a new kind of consciousness – one where violence is unthinkable.
